TRIVIA:
Winter 1941 was filmed the weekend before Christmas, 2020, seven days after it was written. Many of the photographs seen in the background of the film were generously provided by the Fisher family. The family also allowed the use of a tiny dress suit made by a family member in the 1940s, which was a perfect fit for the leading actress. Writer/director Mailli Brow drew on years of love for homefront history, frustration with the lack of representation of women's experiences in war films, family stories, and songs like I'll Be Home for Christmas. In total, it took one hour to write the screenplay for this film. |
